I really think it depends on what you are used to. Part of the reason I rejected the Kindle was because I didn't like its user interface. I found it clunky and not at all intuitive.

NNolan, you probably know this but check the advanced settings for the fonts as you can darken/embolden some of the included fonts by altering the weight and sharpness.
