I figure on my iPad and iPhone, 2 to 3 years before I'll upgrade again. I hadn't planned on buying the 'New iPad" but the screen was a huge change from the iPad 1. My iPod Touch, I will probably use until it dies.

I use all these items for personal use only. If I used them professionally, I'd probably upgrade at least every two years. It all depends on the changes in the hardware. If there were huge processor changes and it was a business use, I'd buy annually. Time is money and the faster it can process, the better.

I've never felt the need for the best and the fastest, I don't mind when my hardware becomes outdated. It's just a fact of life.
