Page turn problems

My T1 which I have been using for months started to have inconsistent page turn problems. I started reading a new book and after I had read a few pages it would loop back 3, 4 or more pages displaying pages I had read before. Sometimes it would quickly turn 7 pages back. Normal actions I tried that would correct this, pressing return button or going to home page then back to book, didn't really stop the problem. I had just put the reader in a new book style case, a Belkin Verve Tab Folio for Kindle Touch, that I had bought for my Kobo Touch. It fit well but a corner strap obstructed power switch. Put T1 into this cover and it was a good tight fit not obstructing power button. This fit was probably a little too tight with T1 back tapering out away from back of case and corner strap retainers pulling corners tightly into case. After I removed T1 from this case it started working right again with normal page turns.
