Rumpelteazer - I have the Fire 1st gen and I love it. The case I have makes it easy to hold and read or whatever else. I still prefer my laptop for heavy internet usage, but when out and about, the Fire is nice. I am thinking about getting the Fire HD, but waiting to see if I really need the extras.
