Dictionary.
At present, you have two choices. Tap the word and get answer, but there is mentioned problem with inflection/conjugation.... But I guess that is a problem for any ordinary dictionary. The second possibility is lesve the document, start the dictionary, enter the word. Skip dictionary, open document. Not very user friendly...
I asked Booxtor, to add possibility to enter/edit the word when the dictionary is opened within the openned document.
In the Booxtor's list of new features implemented in comming firmware is 'improvement of dictionary'. I hope it will be something based on my suggestion.
We will see soon....
Also, Onyx might implement multitasking one day. If it will allow to switch between dictionary and documents, many "problems" would be solved.
You may install many Stardict format dictionaries. I've installed about 10.
Where to buy
Please note, that there are different distribution channels and slightly different HW (more or less memory, audio output yes/no, ...). And the most important might be. There are distributors who have special firmware and the Boox is not so open as from others distributors. For some users it might be OK, for some unacceptable.
I would recomed wait for a new Onyx firmware. It should come this week (according to Booxstor), but even if it become delayed, I expect it soon.
Many things might change to better.
