Thanks, I know we are paying the extra for the light, but at least it can look as good as a normal kindle in the daylight. If I got a bad one was going to get the basic kindle but might keep if it isn't too blotchy. Suppose it is like reading a real book you had dropped in the bath and dried it out, that would be blotchy
