The same argument can be used against the opposite idea as well.

Although right now, if you look at the thread Dragoro pointed out, and the Amazon reviews, the response is still mostly positive. And even in Amazon's reviews, you'd have to spend some time splitting out actual manufacturing flubs from those who are disappointed based on Amazon's admittedly terrible advertising of the product.

Is it likely that there probably is a higher than normal amount of defective units? I'd say so. Is it likely that the entire production run is defective? Not really. Did Amazon do a good job setting expectations? Not at all.
