Yes, that's what I did manually. I wanted to justify $40 bucks spent on a new magnetic cover and removed the advertisement from the sleep screen to fully utilize the wake-up feature. The little banner which I actually like keeps running on the home screen.

So it definitely *can* be implemented in a GUI hack. We'll see.
