So my two cents:

I started with SugarSync (due to the cost) however, when I found out that I couldn't do calibre2opds catalog I immediately switched over to Dropbox. I really like this feature and it made the decision to switch easy.

I have Calibre on both my Macbook and Windows desktop. Once I upload a book to Calibre it automatically uploads to Dropbox and keeps Calibre in sync which is GREAT! I really struggled with this before as I would have to add one book in both places, now with Dropbox, add it once and I can access it everywhere.

I back up my Calibre library to once a week to an external hard drive.
