*i wrote that down so i would remember to look it up when i got home : it was the subject of a minor disagreement between me and a friend in a café. but i forgot anyway. now that i've reminded myself and have access to wikipedia i should check.
a restaurant i saw the other day in the ménilmontant neighborhood : "sushi and bagels". paris is nothing if not cosmopolitan, but that's still an unexpected combination.
Sur le canal : 2 garçons me dépassent à vélo. attachés aux porte-baggages, leurs skates.
On the canal : 2 boys pass me on bikes. attached to the bike racks, their skateboards.
rue de la grange aux belles : dans le panier du vélib, un petit chien noir. on le pose sur le trottoir, et il se secoue.
rue de la grange aux belles : in the basket of a public bicycle, a little black dog. when he is set down on the sidewalk he shakes himself.
