Kobo shows you a changelog ON THE DEVICE after you update. My Kobo Glo updated to 2.1.5 last night, and I was presented with a list of changes: faster page turns (and they are, noticeably so), more responsive marking/highlighting (and it is, although it's still finicky/harder than it should be), improved Wi-Fi performance, better choosing of dictionary. To see the changelog, hit the menu icon, then "Settings," then "Device Information," then the "View" button next to "Release notes:"
