Long story short, you probably will not be able to test out the new PW in the parking lot and return it that day if it is bad. Pity as that would save you another trip to return it. I'm not sure how BB would react to a replacement request as that seems to vary per manufacturer.

That's odd my local best buy doesn't have a policy like that. I've return defective stuff within a few hours. I've had even C.S. open a box in front of it to test it to make sure it worked. I had to give them permission but no issues like you described.
