If I open a format in an editor then the file for that format will probably be locked

If I then change the title or author then calibre will create the new folder and move the existing files to it, only when it finds it cant remove the folder (because of the locked file) will it tell me a format is locked, via this message

Happens occasionally to me - when it does I fix it immediately by hand. Otherwise when I save my edits they will be saved to the old folder and at some stage I be left doing this

I'd rather calibre pop the message at the start and leave things as is. But there may be factors that preclude that - such as the difference in the behaviour of the target operating systems.
