Thanks Karen. I haven't tried another browser; I think I was just so fixated on just not giving up. I started earlier today, stopped, waited a few hours, and tried again - which got me the "purchase", but no download.
If your mom was as frustrated as I was, she probably just gave up and stopped calling you.
