Just comparing apples to apples (no pun intended). I can't compare my tablet with 8 on it, because it's at home and I'm at work, but I just woke my Windows 7 laptop from sleep, and it took a grand total of 5 seconds. Is five seconds more than "0 seconds"? Yes. Is 5 seconds unreasonable? No.

Especially if it comes with the benefits of a full operating system.
