I have definitely surprised myself using the Glo function in dim light environments, with the result of a much better comfort, and as it has already been stated, a whiter rendering of the page.

I, too, would very much welcome an even lower brightness level for night reading, but it already is much better than a third party one (clip light or bed light) anyway.
As a matter of fact I have never used anything yet but the very lowest one.
