I definitely don't use the light as much as others here. I love it at night or in dim light or in lighting where I'm getting a tad bit of a reflection.

But maybe it's because this is my first ereader, but I'm so happy to read on something that doesn't resemble a computer (or anything LCD) that I also LOVE to read it with the light off, I find the print looks more like a book with the light off than even at the lowest setting on.

When on, I mostly do leave it at the lowest setting, especially at night, and would be happy with a lower setting as others have mentioned.

All in all, I'm really happy with my glo, and not having to try to use a reading light in less than ideal conditions definitely makes the glo worth it!
