Recently re-read the unabridged Crusoe, quite enjoyed it, but, as all agree, a bit hard going .
However, this drove me to repeat the exercise with "Treasure Island", after some 30 years, and my word, what a cracking yarn, much more to "contemporary" taste.
Enjoyed it hugely, quite refreshing after the Defoe !
