The diags_ssh partition has the missing /usr/local partition folder tree added back in. And
ixtab provided an install package for 5.1.x that adds those missing files using jailbreak instead of fastboot.
Some kindles were reported to delete those files after you add them, which may be your problem as well...
Perhaps we could add our own startup script that adds the missing /usr/local from a hidden location, at every boot.
