I'm kind of lukewarm about Wifi support. I can understand why people want it (for RSS feeds etc.) but I sort of feel that there's just no need to urgently hop on to a wireless network and get more books. I mean, given the vast storage capacity available and the time it takes to read a sizeable novel I just can't imagine the urgent need to get more content.
Well, if I had the ebook reader I'm dreaming of, reading real books such as novels won't be my main use.
  • I want to get morning news, and not having to sync that thing, and paying a fair fee (ie. not what they want us us pay here) is not a problem.
  • I want to read technical books and references. There, for me, the "e" gets its meaning: search and personalized pages.

About that wifi thing, it will be easier via SDIO. I've done a little homework and the SD/MS controller on the 505 supports SDIO.
Do we have SDIO-enabled drivers for that chip ?
