I just joined the Skype Developers Program. I can do development for desktop clients using the Windows DLLs, but for embedded devices, I have this status:
"Thanks for your interest - you’ll receive an email when we are ready to invite you into the program."

Elsewhere in the original 2010 Announcement, they said they have a limited number of developer slots available. I hope they have room left for me.
