not much point until the major things are fixed.

A) Xorg control. can't expect people to play in DIAG's. that's just ridiculous.

B) nicely mapped touch input / key handling / virtual key handling. The Nook demo shows how this could be done for prboom as a for example.

C) Cross platform video, GM almost has this cracked in terms of either bypassing SDL or putting his reworked code into the relevant spot. Once we have a working demo of this ACTUALLY happening for a game, we can replicate.

D) Elegant failing for audioless devices. probably trivial but SDL gets stroppy.

E) OTG Support. Again a nice to have but so close I can taste it.

That's my list, when we have those things ramming out awesome apps will be a bit easier.

We could just dump the mutex out of SDL and see if that works, GM says it does, I may try at some point but actually fixing the "Blackouts" issues Xorg has would be great via a more graceful method than mugging it.
