Before the arrival of Amazon Kindle the market was very small, with Bookeen (Gen3, Opus) and Sony (600/650, T1) as the leaders, and Onyx/PocketBook following at distance; after the arrival of Amazon Kindle... well, Kindle took over half of the market within two months (Nov 2011-Jan 2012). Now there is huge excitement for Kobo, which signed an agreement with Mondadori (the largest publisher in Italy).
