I emailed, and they have no release dates for the US as of yet. They told me to keep checking in with the retailers. If you go to the bottom of the screen when you click the glo ereader you will see an area where it says Get HELP. If you click that it will take you to another page where you can ask a question. But to the right of that it says contact kobo. It will give you a phone number of 1-855-732-3662 or an email, which I cant access at this time.

Hope this helps. Cant wait to get it. There is one ereader company that is selling them online for 189.00 I think it is get ereader.com or something like that. I would not pay that much for it. So I am waiting and thinking about driving to Canada to get;-)
