The ability to opt in and out of special offers at will is the reason why I always tell people to buy the special offers version first and then opt out later if they find the ads to be intrusive. This way, if you don't mind the special offers, you'll only have paid the special offers price, and if you do mind the special offers, you can just pay the difference to opt out later on.
