I read that and something about a battery source in Canada but it was for pre wifi first Kobo. It is easy to take apart if you can find replacement battery. I think battery is glued in place on Kobo wifi. Some double stick tape around screen you have to carefully separate and have to rotate back to release center from other half. I used a guitar pick as tool to pry apart.
