I bought a few demo Kindles and they *all* had "for parts" in their description and they all (but one which I've had replaced) arrived with the functioning screens.
I've seen a lot of listings for defective items and if the major (functionality or price-wise) component of the item is broken (like a display in a smartphone, tablet or laptop) it is always photographed and described.
Selling a Kindle with the broken display and just describing it as "for parts" not an honest description as it is incomplete -- major broken components should be described (and photographed) explicitly.
So yeah, I'm with geekmaster on that -- either bangss is not an honest seller or just stupidly careless about shipping the merchandise.
