Yes, these are things that make perfect sense when you think about it.
Berlin pretty much belongs in Antarctica, for example, since it spends much of the time there anyway, as does most of Germany. I do not know where Gothenburg is, and that has not changed under Apple Maps - no harm, no foul. London has been flattened many times in the past, so to find it flattened in modern times should be no surprise.
So what has really happened is that Apple Maps does not confine itself to replicating "reality". It
improves reality. You should consider Apple Reality as an upgrade to the previous reality.
Reality iOS6 - if it's not on Apple Maps, you don't need to go there.
