I had about 15 shelves when my Kobo account started having issues when I would purchase new books. The solution from Kobo support was for me to create a new account to which they would merge in my existing account.

The result of this was no shelves (including the shortlist that should have been included as a default). I also lost the ability to see the percent read of my books- everything stays at 0%.

I have not created any shelves in the new account, however I have over 400 books. This issue happened after the merge, so I wonder if my problem is related to Kobo's fix.
