I have a T1 and got the T2 because I wanted more contrast. I compared the two carefully, and I think the T2 DOES have slightly better contrast (it's pretty hard to tell). It certainly manages fonts differently -- both built-in and custom fonts had more words per line on the T2. I finally decided the T2 is harder to read, as the fonts were not as open and were less bold, and returned it.
