Grocery IQ works the same way. You only have to make the list once. I can scan bar codes to add to lists or do it manually. It also has a 'history' feature to be able to re-add items you have 'checked out'.

I make all kinds of lists in Grocery IQ. Some for stores naturally. We have a summer place and I make a 'store' for that and put in items I have to bring when we go there. I also have a 'wine list' where I enter wines we have bought, where we bought them, the price and how we liked them. Many possibilities.
