I've put my T1 side-by-side with three T2s, and in every instance the T2 screen was noticeably whiter and the text sharper/crisper/darker. But others have found the T1 comparable or better(?!). Results seem to depend on the individual units being used for the comparison and the eye of the beholder.

The T2 has the same custom contrast/brightness adjustment options as the T1.
