Mobi Creator for MobiPocket files. Calibre for LRF files. Both are superb tools. Both are equally easy to use. I wouldn't personally say that you can make a decision on that basis.

I'd look at the features of the device, personally. Eg, dictionary lookup is important to me personally; the Sony doesn't support that.
