The emulation is very close indeed. In full-screen view, the text is exactly what you'll get on a "real" PRS-505; higher resolution doesn't change the "amount" of text displayed; it just makes the text larger.

I use the eBook Library software for checking the appearance of all the Sony Reader books I create - the emulation of a real device is excellent.
