Are you asking where was the Samsung hate back when every cell phone out there used a different connector? Everyone did it, so there was just general bitching about the need for something more universal from everyone. Which led to many manufacturers moving to mini USB to where we are now with almost everyone using micro USB. They gave up all their proprietary connectors and gave customers what they asked for. Why couldn't Apple do the same? If Sammy or HTC released some different connector in this day and age they'd get complaints too.
