Apple may well take back the lead this quarter with the bump that the iPhone 5 release gives them, but I think Samsung could maintain a longer-term lead. They have high-end phones that are comparable to Apple's, and also have products that cover a lot of market segments that Apple don't.
Interesting that Apple are now keeping three different generations of the iPhones on sale, to offer some cheaper options. [Or have they done that for a while? I don't follow phone stuff]
