The basic idea is that Dave is a genius who uses his massive intellect to choose a rival's product based on reason and critical thinking whereas 500 million people are just blind idiots, "worshipping Cupertino" as he put it, susceptible to pretty pictures and buzzwords. Not a single one of them is capable of intelligent, rational thought. There could not be a single virtue to the product or the ecosystem that makes them worthy of purchase. It's just a massive brainwashing conspiracy.

That is what you have to argue against. And really... why bother? Stick to people like Graham.
