Right.

The original ipod (and all its iterations) wasn't innovative? Or how about the itunes store - which pretty much single handedly redefined how music (and later movies/tv shows) could be distributed/sold.

How about the original iphone and the original iOS - of which without, smart phones (as we know them today) and andriod would quite possibly not even exist today. And almost certainly would not exist with the look and feel we know today.

I have to laugh a bit at all of this. Amazon's Play store, their music/video services, the android phones, etc, etc all followed Apple's lead - even if maybe they aren't so much today.

Have they themselves innovated and improved upon what apple is currently doing? Are their products better now than apples? Maybe, I honestly can't say with much of an informed opinion, but to say that apple hasn't been innovative since the 90's is plain crazy.

Edit: And let's not forget the whole ecosystem apple created with its products, one that everyone else is now trying to replicate.
