Sadly, a lot those people actually pulled out their phone (a 4S), held them side-by-side, then marveled at how much lighter (etc.) the "new" phone was compared to their old one. I'm sure Apple was absolutely thrilled. "We
really can give them the same old phone and they'll happily buy it!"
