I had a slight accident with mine getting out a taxi the other day. When I was getting out of the taxi, somehow my PRS505 flew out of my purse and landed on the pavement. I was very worried after reading some horror stories about broken screens, but luckily when I turned it on, the screen was perfect. The bottom of the reader had bent a little where the volume toggle switch is, but that was all. I was able to straighten that out, and my reader is as good as new.
So far, I'm very happy with the quality of my reader--and I know I'm very lucky!
