Hmmm...., I think "feverishly nationalistic" is overstating it a bit. Not that there isn't any truth to what you say, but to be honest the difference between Norway, Sweden and Finland is at best slight in terms of...uh...feverishness. At least that's my impression from travelling all over the area. Nationalism is expressed somewhat differently in either country, but I'm not at all convinced that one is particularly worse than the others. As far as when we became independent (of you bastards) is concerned, I think it matters not at all today. Well, perhaps among octogenarians, but hardly anyone else.

Denmark certainly is more relaxed, from my experience, but then that's typically what a regular and significant intake of bayer does to you.
