@Fred Vargas: The jailbreak has nothing to do with whatever launcher you're referring to with your 'shift+shortcut' comment...
(FWIW, doing a factory reset *without* uninstalling hacks before leaves your Kindle in a state more inconsistent than doing nothing/doing both. Not a necessarily good idea, unless you know what you're doing).
Anyway, said launcher was just probably nuked when you did the factory reset. Reinstall it.
