Using the MobileRead search function will find that searching "K5" finds the Kindle Touch, but most hits for "KT" find the Kobo Touch. Redefining KT to also mean "Kindle Touch" only adds to the confusion when trying to do MobileRead searches.

Is there a way to restrict MobileRead searches to ONLY this forum, so that using "KT" for its special localized definition would find useful results?

Which number to use when referring to a kindle (6-inch eink) model is defined by its major firmware version number. The Kindle Touch runs 5.x firmware, hence its K5 designation. Whatever firmware the new kindles use will follow this same naming convention (especially in the Dev Corner, where logical conventions take precedence over popular opinion). Of course, in THIS forum, definitions are subject to popular opinion and may conflict with terminology as commonly used in other forums and offsite resources.
