Sony *downgraded* the T1 to match the Nook STR, presumably to catch entry-level readers.
Kobo and Amazon ugraded their readers to catch customers upgrading from older (Sony?) readers. And then Amazon dropped the K4 to $69 to catch the newcomers anyway. With Kobo running at $80 for the cute 5" and $99 for the 6", Sony has to cut T2 prices fast.
