BTW some people seem to have thes problems a lot. Some, like me, almost never have them. I never use the 'safely disconnect hardware'
I am not going to go into the possibility of 'cross-wires'.

However I have seen the results of high-speed data-links being connected up in-correctly and the catastrophic collapse of a government network...(no it wasn't me, despite the connection being needed by me!!)...(what came in was also re-routed back out to the same originator and hence a massive loop of data transfer)...
