New rant :
what kind of sadistic b*st*rd programs a flight to leave at 6 in the damned morning ???? even leaving aside the fact that 6 o'clock is so uncivilised an hour as for the mere mention of it to be absurd, this means you have to be at the airport at 3 in the morning : even worse cruel and inhuman treatment. but that's not all : the métro only starts running at five in the morning. so in fact, the choice is : take a taxi, which between the distance and the night tarif will probably cost more than the actual flight (may as well take the taxi all the way to the end destination, at that price), or take the last métro the night before, arrive at the airport at 1 in the morning, and just wait there until 6. buckets of fun !! after all, the only thing less sinister than an airport in the daytime, is an airport in the dead of night, right ???

and while we're on the topic, WHY in the name of god would anyone want to make a stop in detroit (USA), if they are flying from Toronto (Canada) to Edmonton (wait for it... still Canada) ??? not only is it not on the trajectory, it's NOT EVEN IN THE SAME COUNTRY !!!!! gaaaah !!!

you know on second thought i think i'll just stay home, until i've saved up enough for my private jet which will fly where i want, when i want, leave at civilised hours, and take no unjustified detours. also i would like a helipad on the roof to so i don't have to take the métro to the airport, please.
Oh ..... probably for the same reason that going from Austin, Texas to Monterey, California, takes me through Dallas and Los Angeles. Because the shortest distance between two points is clearly a big ol' zigzag. (And I'm not talking rolling papers here gang ... so take your tokes elsewhere ....)
