They don't seem to be free on the French Kindle store. Of course I could resort to my American Amazon account, but I'm not sure I feel motivated enough to go through all the hoopla. This account is reserved for books I really, really, really want and can't get any other way.
On the other hand the books are not that very expensive, maybe I could buy one some day. I've never read any of her books.
