Capitulate might be too strong a word.
I would wait to see how the Ingram-distributed titles are *priced* outside the Amazon channels. If they're wholesaled, Amazon might discount them below the Ingram price. (To say nothing of the Nook or Kobo retail price.)
This might simply be a way to get the B&N and the Indies to carry the pbooks while making the ebooks effectively exclusive through discounts.
