Walter Jon Williams' Privateers & Gentlemen novels now available as eBooks.

Before he was a science fiction writer, Walter Jon Williams wrote a half-dozen Age of Sail historical adventure novels. They're long out of print, but now two of them are available in electronic form:

Brig of War (Amazon) (Nook)

The Macedonian (Amazon) (Nook)

I bought Brig of War last night, and read the first 50 pages or so. It's good stuff, very well researched, interesting, and different enough from Hornblower or Master & Commander to stand on its own. So far, it details a naval encounter between American and British frigates during the War of 1812.

I say check them out, it's great to finally be able to read these!
