Hi, all. First post.... I've been reading ebooks for 15 years or so. I started out with a Newton Messagepad, then went to a Palm Tungsten, and several weeks ago got a Kindle (the wireless feature was the tipping point).

I have around 4,000 books in the house (collected over a period of 55 years or so), and not nearly enough shelf space for them all. You can see why I'm a fan of ebooks, heh. Most of my reading is mystery and science fiction, with a dash of classics.

I am so glad that ebooks seem to be taking off, although my interests are mainly books from the 1940s through 1960s, which are going to take a while to be converted. It's so much easier and faster for modern books when you can take the authors' word processing file, for sure.

I'm looking forward to becoming an active member here.

Mike
